So, I know I talk about Madewell a lot, but I am so in love with these shoes I can’t even begin to describe their leathery, buttery goodness. I’ve been wearing them every other day for the past 2 years and they are just the most comfortable boots I’ve ever had. They’ve been through Parisian rain and Philly slush, and have worn in the perfect amount. Scuffed and slouchy, but they are The Ultimate.

It is! It is! That leather was so delicious and the super heavy and perfectly designed hardware and closures made all the difference between this heritage luxury brand and everything else from even Gucci down to PS or Wang. No one does hardware that good. Damn.

Halfway through the shoot Alber stopped by and showered us with Lanvin flats. It was really quite a day. Forget Days of the Week underwear, it’s all about Days of the Week Lanvin flats.

I’m sorry, can we just pause and picture this for a moment? Alber Elbaz bursting through the door with an armful of expensive shoes, bouncing around the room, sprinkling Lanvin flats all over the place — “Beautiful shoes for zee beautiful ladies!” Um, I would love that, thanks.
